WHICH CHEMICALS SHOULD BE USED TO OPEN A POOL AT THE START OF THE SEASON?
An OPENING KIT is required. It typically contains a shock treatment, Algaecide and a clarifier to eliminate debris accumulated during the winter.
WHAT TYPE OF CHLORINE IS BEST TO USE?
It depends on your equipment: use Stabilized chlorine tablets if you have a chlorinator, or Granular chlorine/Tabs if you do not have one.
WHAT IS THE BEST TIME OF DAY TO ADD CHLORINE?
It is best to add it at the end of the day, after sunset, to prevent the sun's UV rays from evaporating the chlorine too quickly.
